Ian has experience teaching in a wide variety of settings.Â
He has taught a number of private students since 2015, ranging from elementary schoolers through post-graduate students.
As a graduate teaching assistant at Western Michigan University, Ian was responsible for teaching music theory in a small group setting as well as teaching "Intro to Trombone," a class where the Music Education majors learn how to play the trombone as well as how to teach it to their future students.
Outside of the trombone world, Ian has also enjoyed having the opportunity to coach table tennis at the University of Kansas, racquetball at Western Michigan University, and give private billiards lessons.
